Engaging in Knowledge Mobilization
Shown in the gallery below, I have had the opportunity to share my research results at multiple conferences. The first being at the 2024 Canadian Mineral Analysts conference and the second at the 2025 TRU Undergraduate Research and Innovation Conference. In the near future, I will also be presenting my poster at the 2025 TRU Science Undergrad Poster Exhibition of Research and the 2025 Western Canada Undergraduate Chemistry Conference. To top off my conference tour, I will be giving an oral presentation at the 2025 Canadian Chemistry Conference and Exhibition.
My knowledge mobilization does not stop with my research in analytical chemistry, as I have also displayed many other poster presentations. For example, you’ll see below my poster from my Chemistry 3310 Inorganic Chemistry I course.
Outside of my typical research, I also engage in specifically science knowledge mobilization by volunteering with the national group Let’s Talk Science as a science outreach ambassador at several elementary schools across the SD73 school district. With this group, I was able to teach first to seventh graders about a variety of science topics from water purification to insect anatomy. As my evidence, I have linked a couple of posts on which I was featured as a volunteer.
