Understanding the Research Process

The first piece of evidence that I am presenting is my poster project from Chemistry 3140. This course, titled Applied Analytical Chemistry, delves into details of preparing for research, specifically sample collection and sample preparation. As described on mytru.ca, “This course will focus on analytical method development, including sampling and sample handling, extraction, determination, and data acquisition. The analysis of organic and inorganic compounds in a variety of matrices will be discussed. Case studies from the literature will illustrate typical applications.”

The second piece of evidence I will submit is my research project proposal for the UREAP 2024 summer term. This proposal includes an abstract, literature review, hypothesis, proposed methodologies, timeline, and more.

Lastly, I present a project proposal for a group research project with Dylan VanSpankeren and Maddie Hubbard from the Chemistry 3120 laboratory course.
