Applying Research Methods
My evidence for this field is the Experimental section of my report regarding the method development to detect haloacetic acids (HAAs) in local water samples. This applied my knowledge of the GC-MS to curate a temperature program, my wet chemistry skills to extract and derivate my analyte, and my critical thinking skills to know what to change to get the desired effect. The first document you see here is my finalized report with the method I produced and the exact steps needed to recreate it. The second document is a day-by-day journal detailing what I completed that day, the results it provided, and my plans for the next day. This is to prove my understanding of the research methods I used, and to provide emphasis on the strength of my final method.
